'Stick-Built Off-Site' - MLS Classification

“Stick Built Off-Site” homes (SBOS) is a term to describe off-site built home construction and lot development standards that include:

A combination of R-1 zoning lot development requirements, and MH Advantage factory-built home requirements
Must be on approved permanent foundation at ground level
Must have elevated pitched roofs and extended eves
Must have porches and garages
Must have a visual curb appearance like a site-built home
Appraises against site-built homes
Qualify for Conventional 30yr Financing
Appreciates at same rate as comparable site-built homes

“Stick Built Off-Site” homes (SBOS) differ from site-built homes in the following ways:

SBOS homes are not built on site
SBOS have shorter build times
SBOS has higher quality-controlled standards for construction
SBOS has a lower cost-to-build than site-built homes
SBOS has construction that exceeds state/local building codes and structural standards beyond that required by traditional site-built homes.
SBOS construction is in an environmentally controlled factory
SBOS has many more quality controlled inspections
